Today, 2 October 2025, Zaragoza is hosting the event ‘Sustainability to boost business competitiveness. 10th anniversary of the SDGs’, organised by the Government of Aragon and the UN Global Compact Spain, to commemorate the first decade since the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
Clara Arpa's message: sustainability as an opportunity
Representing ARPA, our CEO Clara Arpa Azofra, in her role as Chair of the UN Global Compact Spain, participated in the meeting, highlighting the strategic role of Aragonese companies in this global challenge.
Clara conveyed a clear message:
- Sustainability is not a cost, but rather an opportunity for growth and competitiveness for companies.
- Aragon has more than 100 companies signed up to the Global Compact, but the challenge is greater.
- The Pact is there to accompany and simplify the path towards sustainability.
- The power of partnerships and innovation are the best investment for the future.
Aragon as a driver of sustainable competitiveness
The meeting highlights the role of Aragon as a robust business ecosystem, with companies that, through modesty and perseverance, are positioning the region as a benchmark in sustainability at the national and international level.
At ARPA, we renew our commitment to continue promoting sustainable business practices and to help Aragonese companies spearhead the move towards a fairer, more resilient and innovative future.
