ARPA is certified in ISO-9001, ISO-14001, PECAL-2110 and has among others a Tempest Evaluation Certificate from the CCN (CNI) for its Shelter Tempest -SHATEM-.

In 2018, Equipos Móviles de Campaña Arpa celebrated its 50th anniversary. Looking to the future with more projects and motivation than ever in its history, Arpa has become an international benchmark with sure steps, building a solid trajectory, accumulating experience and always without losing sight of the principles and values of its founder, my father, Antonio Arpa Romero. This is the motto that moves us: to provide with our designs and solutions access to water, food, hygiene, habitability, health, etc. to displaced groups or in precarious situations, either for work reasons or due to emergencies, catastrophes, conflicts, etc. And at all times bearing in mind the vocation of service to those who dedicate their lives to caring for people: any logistics solution for any operator anywhere in the world.

Sustainability

ARPA, in constant evolution, is immersed in the process of active and voluntary contribution to the social, economic and environmental improvement of the company itself.

To this end, the ARPA Sustainability Committee has been set up as an internal consultative body, with no executive functions, but with the power to inform, advise and propose actions within its sphere of action.

RSA+ Seal

The Mesa de la Responsabilidad Social de Aragón, which coordinates the implementation of the RSA Plan, formed by CEOE Aragón, CEPYME Aragón, UGT Aragón, CCOO Aragón and the IAF on behalf of the Government of Aragón, approved the creation in 2018 of the RSA+ Seal, which seeks to encourage organisations holding the RSA Seal to deepen key aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility.

The RSA+ Seal is a step forward in the framework of Social Responsibility, which promotes four aspects:

• The reconciliation of personal, family and working life, in line with the guidelines promoted by the Directorate General for Equality and the Family.
• The promotion of equality in all types of organisations, giving priority to equal opportunities and the principle of non-discrimination.
• Volunteering and social action, promoting collaboration between companies and non-profit organisations, with the aim of creating a stable relationship between the two and encouraging the use of the Cooperation Window and the involvement of organisations in the promotion of culture in Aragon, fostering their relationship with the environment, as well as the commitment of organisations to the Sustainable Development Goals and the fulfilment of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

What is the United Nations Global Compact?

It is a call to companies to align their strategies and operations with ten universal principles on human rights, labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption, and to take measures that promote the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs). Currently, with more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 organisations, based in more than 60 countries and more than 70 local networks, the Global Compact is spreading the message that any type of company anywhere in the world — of all sizes and sectors — can play a fundamental role in improving our world.

What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

One of the greatest recent achievements in sustainability has been the approval of the 2030 Agenda and with it the Sustainable Development Goals. Do you know what they are about and how they came about? Humanity faces numerous challenges in ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities for development and well-being. In 2000, the United Nations adopted eight goals to meet the main needs of the poorest: the Millennium Development Goals.

• Promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women
• Reducing infant mortality
• Improving maternal health
• Combating HIV, malaria and other diseases

From the Millennium Development Goals to the Sustainable Development Goals Fifteen years later, 193 United Nations member states approved the 2030 Agenda, which sets out the Sustainable Development Goals, a new horizon with the most important challenges for human beings in the coming years. There are seventeen ambitious objectives, broken down into 169 targets, which require the collaboration of civil society and the public and private sectors, the success of which would mean a more equal and habitable world.
