On 5 February 2025, the METALHUB cluster was presented in Zaragoza, an initiative that brings together more than 8,800 companies in the metal sector in Aragon, which employ nearly 110,000 people.

This cluster was created with the aim of strengthening the sector, improving collaboration between companies and technology transfer, and positioning Aragonese metal as a key player in the transition towards a more sustainable, efficient and advanced industry.

Tomás Ramos, president of METALHUB and manager of ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Zaragoza, emphasised that the cluster will focus on sustainability, digitalisation and talent management, areas that are fundamental for the development and competitiveness of the sector.

For his part, Benito Tesier, president of the Zaragoza Metal Companies Federation (FEMZ), emphasised the importance of this initiative to revitalise the sector and encourage participation in innovation processes and projects.

METALHUB is made up of 22 companies in the sector, including Agreda Automóvil, AgroGarden, Alot Metal, ArcelorMittal, Brembo, CAF, Electrónica Cerler, Cintasa, Coferdroza, Ebroacero, Electricidad Amaro, Emiliano Marcén SA, Enar, Esprinet, Exide Technologies, Magaiz, Pikolin, Básculas Sorribes, Talleres Florencio, Taim Weser and UMEC.
