As part of the Forbes Spain Economic Summit 2025, our CEO Clara Arpa Azofra took part in an inspiring conversation with Federico J. González, global CEO of Radisson Hotel Group, in which both leaders shared their vision of how organisations must evolve towards a sustainable future.

Innovation and sustainability: heading in the same direction

During her speech, Clara Arpa emphasised that sustainability cannot be understood solely as an obligation, but rather as a lever for innovation. In her words:

“There is collateral damage that we did not anticipate. We have to do this differently; we have an opportunity to innovate. Sustainability is innovation.”

Trust as an essential value in leadership

For his part, Federico J. González emphasised the importance of trust as a cornerstone in strategic sectors such as the hotel industry, focusing on consistency between plans and results:

“It is necessary to have a good plan and earn that trust through transparency, honesty, humility, and results.”

A vision that highlights the need to build strong and authentic relationships with all stakeholders, from customers and employees to investors and communities.

Two perspectives, one message

The contributions of both leaders, from different but complementary sectors, coincided on one essential point: sustainability is no longer an option; it is the way to build trust, drive innovation and ensure the resilience of organisations over time.
