On 7 March, the annual meeting of Army Brand ambassadors in the Aragon region took place at the General Military Academy (Zaragoza), chaired by the Institutional Representative for the Army in Aragon (RIET Aragón), Major General Luis Francisco Cepeda Lucas.
This meeting, which was also attended by the Military Commander of Zaragoza and Teruel (COMIL Zaragoza and Teruel), Brigadier General Prudencio Horche Moreno, was attended by the eight ambassadors that Aragon has: Clara Arpa Azofra, Fernando Garrido Velasco, Jorge Moreno Taniñe, Mercedes Lasaosa Sánchez, Rebeca Ruiz Martín, Elena Puértolas Puértolas, Amaya María Gil Albarova and Marta Alvarez Esteban.
The meeting began with a visit to the facilities of the General Military Academy, after which the meeting began. During the meeting, General Cepeda informed the ambassadors of the achievements of the Army in 2024, as well as the challenges for 2025 as expressed in the document ‘Purpose of the JEME for 2025’. Likewise, the anniversary that the Army is going to celebrate this year has been mentioned: ‘From Pavia to Breda: 100 years of the pre-eminence of the Spanish Tercios in Europe’, and special emphasis has been placed on those matters planned in the provinces of Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel.
Subsequently, a debate was held with the ambassadors in which they expressed their opinions, as well as ways to advance their commitment to the Army Brand.
The meeting ended with a group photo and a ‘fellowship meal’ in the officers' mess, with all those present being invited to future meetings in the different barracks of the RIET Aragón area.
