On 3 June, ARPA had the honour of participating in the round table discussion ‘The defence industry as a factor in economic and technological development’, held in Madrid as part of the Advanced Strategic Studies Course for Senior Ibero-American Officers at the Centre for National Defence Studies (CESEDEN). The event was organised by the Forum of Renowned Spanish Brands (FMRE) in collaboration with the Club of Exporters and Investors.
The event brought together representatives from defence institutions in 18 Ibero-American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Spain, among others, making it a privileged forum for reflection and international cooperation.
ARPA, an expert voice in innovation and dual application of technologies
César Fernández, General Director of ARPA, was one of the keynote speakers at the event, where he shared the company's vision and experience on the strategic value of the defence industry, not only as a guarantor of national and international security, but also as a driver of innovation, industrial development and technological advancement.
During his speech, Fernández highlighted the role played by companies such as ARPA in the development of dual-use technologies, applicable in both the military and civilian spheres, as well as the importance of promoting sustainable, modular and self-sufficient solutions capable of operating in the most demanding contexts and contributing to global challenges in security, health and emergency response.
