GREEN HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN GENERATION PLANT FOR HOSPITALS.
Hospital San José, Alcantarilla (Murcia)
ARPA has designed and built the world's first plant that combines the generation of green hydrogen and medical oxygen by electrolysis for a hospital. This plant uses surplus energy from the hospital's photovoltaic system and has a pure hydrogen boiler to heat domestic hot water, enabling the hospital to generate fuel for its boiler and medical oxygen in a sustainable way.
ARPA has designed and built the world's first plant to combine:
The generation of green hydrogen and medical oxygen by electrolysis for a hospital.
The electrolysis is powered by surplus energy from the hospital's own photovoltaic system.
Pure hydrogen boiler to heat the hospital's domestic hot water.
The hydrogen boiler is integrated into the plant itself and is fuelled by green hydrogen.
With this solution, a hospital can generate its own emission-free boiler fuel on site.
Emissions-free fuel for hot water boilers and to produce your own medical oxygen.
Furthermore, this solution is modular and can be expanded with applications for heating and re-electrification using hydrogen fuel cells.
