ARPAQUA Atmospheric Water Generators

Objectives: To provide an alternative source of drinking water in areas where obtaining this natural resource is a real challenge due to its scarcity.

Description: Design and development of different models of atmospheric water generator equipment, based on a process of research and development of technologies to condense water vapour contained in the air, using thermodynamic cycles with mechanical refrigeration and electronic control systems.

Project development level: TRL 8 - Manufacture of functional units and sale of a first pilot product.

ARPOT 6 Water Purification Plant

Objectives: To meet drinking water needs generated in an emergency situation by means of an easily transportable, rapidly deployable and electrically autonomous water treatment plant capable of making any type of water instantly drinkable.

Description: Design and manufacture of the 100th working prototype of a new water treatment plant for any type of water, including sea water, using high-pressure membranes. Incorporation of photovoltaic panels for electrical autonomy and a chlorine generator from brine to eliminate additional consumables and chemical products.

Project development level: TRL 7 - Manufacture of a prototype and tests in a real environment by a model client.

ARPA Wastewater Treatment Plant WWTP

Objectives: To provide a fast, cheap and sustainable solution in developing countries or rural areas where there is no adequate waste treatment network, protecting the environment and the health of the population.

Description: Design and manufacture of the functional prototype of a wastewater treatment plant, consisting of a septic tank with three compartments where solids are decanted and anaerobic digestion takes place, without the need for electricity or chemicals. The plant is integrated into an ISO 20 container that includes all water inlets and outlets, as well as ventilation ducts, eliminating the need to bury the plant.

Level of project development: TRL 5 - Manufacture of a first functional prototype of the product.
