Health

At ARPA, we recognise that healthcare is a fundamental sector that must provide efficient and effective solutions while aligning with global sustainability objectives. Our commitment is focused on integrating hydrogen as a clean and renewable energy source in the healthcare sector, promoting innovation and the development of technologies that improve medical care and reduce environmental impact.

Hydrogen, especially when it comes from renewable sources, represents a clean alternative to fossil fuels. Its implementation in the healthcare sector transforms the way medical facilities operate, from energy production to the supply of critical equipment. Using hydrogen to power generators and heating systems in hospitals not only improves energy efficiency, but also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

We are working on innovative projects that integrate hydrogen into healthcare, such as dispensing systems to supply energy to essential medical equipment. These systems guarantee a reliable energy supply and optimise resources, reducing operating costs. In addition, we are exploring the use of hydrogen in the disinfection and sterilisation of medical spaces, which improves hygiene and safety in healthcare.

Our commitment to hydrogen is strengthened by strategic collaborations with medical and research institutions, allowing us to develop solutions tailored to the needs of the sector.

Through training and education, we seek to raise awareness of the benefits of hydrogen, promoting its adoption in the healthcare community. By integrating hydrogen into this vital sector, we not only help reduce the carbon footprint of healthcare facilities, but also contribute to a healthier environment for all.

SAN JOSÉ HOSPITAL

ARPA has developed an innovative plant that combines the generation of green hydrogen and medical oxygen for hospitals. Using surplus energy from photovoltaic systems, this solution allows healthcare facilities to produce their own emission-free fuel and oxygen, promoting sustainability in the sector.

CDTI

ARPA has been selected to design and build a hydrogen fuel cell energy backup system for the Germans Trias i Pujol hospital in Badalona. This innovative project, which takes advantage of surplus renewable energy, will produce hydrogen and oxygen for the hospital, contributing to its decarbonisation and energy efficiency.
